Some of you already may have read this on the rant board, when I was doing a test to see if word pad was highlighting all the text, even though jaws doesn't read it all when I'm highlighting it. It indeed does, and this is a poem about how I imagine computers would talk, if they could communicate with us on a people level.

My computers' point of view
This is something brand new,
Here is a computers' point of view,
Listen well, and hear what I say,
I don't like being left on 15 hours a day,
My dear user, why not just give up,
the person you're waiting for will never show up.
Listen now to my admission,
I refuse to be beaten in to submission.
so long as you the user stays in line,
We'll get along just fine.
whether your your knowledge is small or large,
remember who is the 1 really in charge.
Can computers go around the bend?
I feel this game of waiting will never end.
All because someone said he would show,
You left me sitting here 4 hours in a row.
Unless you want me to start a row,
I want to be shut down right now.
To you, a lesson I will teach,
do as I want, or I'll crash your screen readers' speech.
On 1 thing I can bet,
that will make you upset.
I don't care how much you whimper,
a computer has ways of losing its temper.
So if you do anything hasty and rash,
You'll find out how quickly I can crash.
So give me the respect you know I am due,
There you have it, a computers' point of view.

well Alison, as long as your computer doesn't actually talk back to you, you're ok, lol. When it starts threatening to crash if you don't shut it down, then I'd start to worry.

Well, personally, I don't think your computer has much to complain about. My computer is running twenty-four seven, and not only that, but it's running both an E-mail and a web server!

Well, I baby this computer, and I seldom if ever multitask, and if and when it does give me trouble, it's something I've done, but it very rarily ever gives me trouble.

yeah doodgeman, I leave it on twenty-four seven, accept when it crashes and when we're reformatting it (now) because it needs to restart a bunch.
